ACCOMMODATION: Accommodation Recommendations/logistics for the 3rd Annual CEOP Meeting to be held at the Head Office of the Bureau of Meteorology (BoM), Melbourne, Australia, 19-21 August 2009. The 3rd Annual CEOP meeting will be held just before the Joint GEWEX/iLEAPS International Scientific Conference, which is also being held in Melbourne from 24-29 August 2009. The GEWEX/iLEAPS conference has a web-site for accommodation (http://www.gewex.org/2009gewex_ileaps_lodging.html ) that could provide useful information for participants to the CEOP meeting. Below is a list of Melbourne hotels. All hotels are within a comfortable walking distance to the conference venue, the Melbourne Exhibition Centre which is close to the Bureau of Meteorology. Note that the Sofitel Melbourne is about 20 minutes walk (or 10 minutes by tram) from the Bureau which is located near to Southern Cross Station. In all cases, prices quoted are in Australian dollars, are per night and GST inclusive. When booking your lodging, ask if they have a government or business rate.
