The 8th Meeting of the GEOSS/AWCI International Coordination Group (ICG)
The 1st Climate Change Assessment and Adaptation (CCAA) Workshop
Date: 6th - 8th October 2011
Venue: Coex, World Trade Center, Seoul, South Korea
Meeting Objective
Aside from the usual review of the AWCI and its working group activities, the ICG meeting will focus on preparation for planning of the next step of the Initiative. With its strong collaborative framework and data integration principles developed, AWCI is now eligible as one of the pillars of the newly proposed GEOSS Water Cycle Integrator (WCI), targeting enhanced coordination in the water cycle arena on the global level. (Please refer to the this document on GEOSS WCI for further details). In this context, it is highly desirable that all of the ICG members attend the meeting, if possible.
In addition to the ICG business, the meeting will review progress and results of the CCAA study and the outcomes will be considered for the planning of the next step of AWCI. Accordingly, all the CCAA leaders are invited to attend the meeting to also share their view on further pursuing the study.
