Accommodation


Considering the participation in the subsequent IGWCO Meeting held at the Koshiba Hall, the University of Tokyo, Hongo Campus, the organizers have arranged accommodation for AWCI supported invitees in the Forest Hongo Hotel, which is in an easily commutable distance from the Ryogoku area, the venue of the GEOSS AP Symposium and the AWCI ICG session. Please complete your on-line registration as soon as possible to facilitate the hotel reservation procedure. Thank you for your kind cooperation.

Self-supported AWCI representatives and other participants are responsible for making your hotel reservation. The list of recommended hotels is provided at the IGWCO website (Hongo area). If you prefer to stay in the Ryogoku area, please visit the GEOSS AP Symposium website for hotel recommendations.

Access to the Forest Hongo Hotel

Japanese instruction for a taxi driver to take you to the Forest Hongo hotel.

1. Access from the Narita Airport

Take the Keisei line Skyliner train from the Narita airport to the Ueno station (terminal) and then take a taxi (5 - 10 min, ~1200 JPY) to the Forest Hongo hotel. You may wish to show the driver this information on your destination in Japanese.

2. Access from the Haneda Airport

Take the Tokyo Monorail train from the Haneda airport to the Hamamatsucho station (terminal) and then change to the JR Yamanote Line. Then you can change at the Tokyo station to the Metro Marunouchi Line and go to the Hongo-Sanchome station. Optionally, you can continue on the JR Yamanote line up to the Ueno station and then take a short taxi ride. Please visit the Tokyo Monorail Line Web for detailed instructions on how to use the Tokyo Monorail and JR lines to get to the Tokyo or Ueno station.
22 minutes by Monorail and JR lines to the Tokyo Station (620 JPY) and 10 minutes by Tokyo Marunouchi line to the Hongo-Sanchome Station (160 JPY)
30 minutes by Monorail and JR lines to the Ueno Station (630 JPY)
